Servers
Housekeeping
The main function of Housekeeping is to ensure Cleanliness, Comfort, Convenience, Privacy, Health and Hygiene in a safe environment. Housekeeping is just not cleanliness. It includes keeping work areas neat and orderly, materials.
- Dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures.
- Cleaning and sanitising toilets, showers/bathtubs, countertops, and sinks.
- Maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen area.
- Making beds and changing linens.
- Washing windows.
- Vacuuming and cleaning carpets and rugs.
Houseman
Hotel housemen work behind the scenes, maintaining and cleaning the hotel. They help housekeepers, clean hallways, take out trash and clean other parts of the hotel, such as its floors and doorways. They also respond to guest requests and help provide customer service.
What does a banquet houseman do?
As banquet houseman, you are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of any banquet rooms, hallways, storage and service areas. You must routinely inventory and care for banquet supplies such as linens, chairs, china, glassware, flatware and decorations.
Bartender
Preparing alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for bar and patrons. Interacting with customers, taking orders and serving snacks and drinks. Assessing bar customers’ needs and preferences and making recommendations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintains constant surveillance of patrons in thefacility; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of emergency. Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.
